Sitting Down with Elizabeth Mullen
Elizabeth Mullen is an intuitive abstract artist, she draws inspiration from the natural world. As a painter she is excited by color, texture and experimentation.
She has always had a passion for being creative and an avid student of the arts. She has studied Art at Sierra College in Rocklin CA., as well as with Susan Sarback at the School of Light & Color in California and with Maxine Masterfield, Fernando Madridejos and Kevin Tobin in Florida.
Elizabeth has taught art throughout the better part of 20 years. She taught art in the California public school system for 8 years before moving to South West Florida. For many years she taught children’s art classes at the North Port FL Art Center and was an instructor with a SW Florida art therapy program.
Water is her biggest inspiration, Elizabeth is an avid swimmer and loves spending time outdoors. Many of her paintings are inspired by Florida’s natural beauty. She loves spending the day at the beach with her two dogs, Bella & Bob Dog and her husband, Robert.
Elizabeth has shown her work to the public in numerous solo and group shows, winning multiple awards. Her work hangs in private collections throughout the United States.
She is always working on something new and loves posting paintings in the making as well as fresh new pieces on Instagram, and invites you to follow along for some daily dose of creative beauty.
